YouTube transcript to Obsidian

Turn an available video transcript into a note.

From an open YouTube or Bilibili video, ask Tabonomy to save available captions as Markdown for Obsidian.

Requested by you, saved by you.

Tabonomy fetches a transcript only after you choose export. It does not harvest captions in the background.

  • Uses an available caption track; it does not invent one.
  • Saves Markdown that remains yours outside the browser.
  • Uses no Tabonomy transcript server and no cookies permission.
A user-requested video caption export becoming a Markdown note in Obsidian.

A feature, not a data pipeline.

The video host receives the transcript request because that is where the captions live. Tabonomy does not receive the transcript.
